OBJECTIVE

Create a holistic "well-being" brand experience for an existing brand.

OVERVIEW

Online dating apps have blown up within the past few years.  I think it's safe to say the same can be said about beards—especially groomed beards.  I chose to work on the brand Bristlr—a social dating/networking app "connecting those with beards to those who want to stroke beards."  With the existing UI and branding, I felt that it needed some design changes that could potentially attract even more people to its brand.  The app is not all that well-known, and it plays around with the current trend/lifestyle of the "rugged, bearded man."

As a part of the entire re-branding experience process, the new objective that I had planned for Bristlr to have was this:

"To create a better brand experience that allows its users feel more connected with the rest of the world, and to create a greater sense of community through the same interest of one thing—beards."

This was a fun project I did back in 2015.  With the experience and insights I've gathered since then, I have some new concepts I want to play around with for this project.  Watch this space for an update on the project in the near future.
